Jake and I bought a horse! Crazy, I know. She was $50 and she's a superstar, so why not?
We named her Lia, not Leah because that means "weary," but Lia because it's Hawaiian and it means "dependable." So far it's true! She has been so good to train! She is so sweet and smart and calm and CUTE. She is almost a year old and has never been handled in any way. Well, she's been caught four times EVER and he just put a halter on her.
Here's some pictures of our new addition ;)
She's disproportionate because she is just a yearling.
Getting her to trust me.
She's trusting him....
Trusting me...
We were so proud of her for getting in the horse trailer!
SO PROUD!
We did have to push her to get in...
We were also proud that she let us lead her around
Now she is in her new home with her new friend Diamond and she is the first horse that has ever shared a coral with him that has been nice to him! Every other horse kicks him and corners him and takes his food. But not Lia!
It is a lot of work. We have to go see her every day and do certain things with her every time we go. But it's also a lot of fun. I go see her after school, before work. Jake goes when he gets off of work. Our weekends pretty much revolve around her. We love her!

Lia is so pretty! Since she is a papered quarterhorse she does need an impressive name. I still think Nui should be in there somewhere! ;) But you always pick good names so I am sure you and Jake will rock this.
Lia sounds very time intensive but so worth it!
Love you, Momsy
Ah man I was soooooo hoping........
Ok fine we can wait for that.....
But not too long!
Beautiful horse. How lucky you are to be able to do that. That's awesome :)
So exciting! She's a beautiful horse--how fun!!!
That's good practice for children--as your life will revolve around them, as well! How did you get a horse for $50?!?
