The Surrey With The Fringe On Top
You know this song, right?
Dad and Mom C., Kayla, Jake and I all went for a surrey ride! I love how pretty their surrey is.
Happy Birthday Lia!
Jake and I got Lia's papers and we found out that she was born on April 19, 2010! Her original name was Pico June! I think it's cute! Lia PicoJune Cromwell. :) Jake and I both had this Saturday off so we celebrated her birthday. It was a big day!
Let me brag about Lia first. Jake thought she would be scared of the spray paint that I bought to paint her feet purple... SHE WASN'T! She did not care in the least. Wasn't even nervous about it. We thought she'd flip about the balloons and she was nervous around them but she acted fine she smelled them and then just kept her eye on them. And I wanted to clean her forehead with a wet rag because it's green from all the hay she eats. Jake said she'd not gonna like that... Totally didn't care. She just likes to be cleaned and pampered I think!

It's so dumb and silly but it's pretty fun :)

A Windy Horse Ride
Friday when I got home from work Jake, Dad C., Tyson, Memrie, and I went for a horseback ride.
I took pictures of where we get the horses saddled up because I hadn't before.
Here is where you find the right halter for your horse (each horse has their own hook) and this is where you get their bit later on.
Here is where you choose a blanket.
And here are the saddles! It will be so exciting when Jake and I get Lia her own halter and bit and blanket and saddle!! (but it's gonna be a while... $$$)

I hate that Shade rolls in the mud when we're done...

Dash's Brithday Celebration
All the in-town family met at Mom and Dad Cromwell's house for dinner to celebrate Dash's first birthday! The best part was that Adam and Jennie's daughter, Addison, actually WANTED me to hold her! It was so sweet!
Here's the aftermath of Dash eating his birthday cupcake.... I told Jake we would only do that with our kids if he cleaned them!
After dinner Addi wanted to go see the horses. She was saying "Hi Lia! Hiiiiii Liiiiiia!" And waving. Then when we got down to Lia she said, "WHOA! Biiiiiiig horse! Scary horse!" It was pretty cute. Then she was cold so we wrapped her in a blanket and then she was cuddling against me. It was adorable.
The nieces and nephews were playing on the zip line having a great time. Here's Harrison and then Livy and McKenna
Livy and McKenna fed Lia grass... They three of them are pretty much BFF's now.
Ziah fed her little bit, too.
Some of the nieces and nephews tried feeding Shade and Tanna... But like I say, they're just mean old mares.
So then we brought them to Fury and Sierra. Look how handsome Tyler is!! I have some cute nieces and nephews!
I sure love this Lia. Especially after Jake's accident with another horse... We're so lucky that Lia is not a kicking or biting horse. She is so good... You can't trust most young horses with little kids, let alone ride them! But Lia has never done anything mean or scary. She is wonderful.
By the way, you know it's summer when the hubby brings out this blanket. :) I love, love, love it.
