Happy Fourth! This year was awesome because I got to spend all day with Jake! He usually participates in a big volleyball tournament with his family (which is really fun to watch, just makes for a hot and long day) but this year his back is hurt* so he decided to err on the side of caution and not play this year. I won't lie, I was glad because being 7 months pregnant in July SUCKS! We finished painting the baby's closet white and then we stopped by the volleyball tournament to say hi and watch for a little bit. After that we were hot and miserable so we went and gave Lia a bath. SO glad that she loves being cleaned! It's so funny. The other horses FREAK out but Lia loves it. The Cromwell's always do a BBQ after the volleyball tournament. We went to that (yum) and then stayed up at the Cromwell's house to watch the fireworks. I LOVE fireworks and we usually watch them closer to the green belt but this year I didn't want to have to pee or get nauseous or deal with crowds or traffic. So we watched them on a jean blanket with the radio playing and had a great time! I love the Melaleuca fireworks show every year!
The only thing that we took pictures of was Lia after her bath and the baby, Duke, with the little saddle on him! So lame. But here they are-
So grateful to live in this country and so grateful to those who sacrifice so much to keep us free. God bless the USA.

Bear Lake 2013
Jake and I had a blast. Here's some of the fun we had!
We played a whole lot of chess! Jake woops my trash every time!
I painted some of the niece's nails and toes
Jake MADE this whistle for me in a matter of MINUTES! It worked, too!
This little boat was my favorite part of the week! It was just Jake and I and this boat was so fun!

Lake Powell 2013!
We went to Lake Powell with Mom and Dad Sant, Sari, Daniel, Joseph, Matthew, and Grandma and Grandpa Hathaway summer 2013! It was AWESOME!
I can't get all of my pictures to load so this is what we get. Also, I don't have pictures of the drive up (or I do but they won't load... grrrrr...) but let me just tell you that it was pretty cool too because we stopped at some neat-o places!
I will say what sucked right now at the beginning of the post so that the rest of the post will be awesome. I tore my contact the first night, like we set up camp and went to bed and when I woke up my contact was torn in half. AND I didn't even bring a spare pair! AGHHHH! I still can't believe I didn't bring an extra pair. It really did change my camping and boating experience a lot. I am so grateful for contacts, they are the best things ever! Through this camping experience with glasses I became known as glasses Rachel. Which is referring to my attitude when my glasses are on my face. Ashamed I am! But I still had a great time and have fun memories so I know it was truly an AWESOME week that everyone enjoyed immensely.
The water was super low, 100 feet lower than the high water mark. But that made our exploring so much cooler! We saw some awesome things that are normally covered by the water! Here is my slew of pictures and explanations in no order at all. :)

Desperately trying to tan. I've lost my abilities since I graduated high school.
Lunch breaks are the best part of every day! There's something so yummy about sandwiches and chips when you camp!
Grandma showing us how cooling off is done right!
This dead thing REEKED. We didn't even stay in that area for long even though it was cool because this stunk so bad.
At one point we towed another boat back to their camp.
Boys (and men) will be boys.
We camped over mom's birthday and this was her birthday cake! Trust me it was better than cake because we were so hot that the watermelon was GREAT.
My feet are on Jake's lap because there were spiders on the ground EVERYWHERE. EVERY. WHERE. You could not escape them! I was not having any of that!
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear mo-om, happy birthday to you!
This is Rainbow Bridge. One of the seven wonders of the world!
Cleaning up to go home. Bittersweet because a shower sounds so good, but you don't want the camping to be over.
But wait! My pictures are out of order so there's more!
I can't remember what mom and I were doing here, just that it was funny and you all wish you were us!
This place was cool. But glasses Rachel stayed in the boat. ;)
Little bit of tubing, but not much, because really who goes to Lake freakin Powell to go tubing??? Go to Pineview for all that! There's way too much to see and explore!
The girls, grandma, mom, Sari, and I got matching dream catcher bracelets to remember our good time!
HUGE shout out to grandma and grandpa Hathaway for taking us! We had a BLAST and feel so spoiled to have been able to go. Thank you, thank you!!
