Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth! This year was awesome because I got to spend all day with Jake! He usually participates in a big volleyball tournament with his family (which is really fun to watch, just makes for a hot and long day) but this year his back is hurt* so he decided to err on the side of caution and not play this year. I won't lie, I was glad because being 7 months pregnant in July SUCKS! We finished painting the baby's closet white and then we stopped by the volleyball tournament to say hi and watch for a little bit. After that we were hot and miserable so we went and gave Lia a bath. SO glad that she loves being cleaned! It's so funny. The other horses FREAK out but Lia loves it. The Cromwell's always do a BBQ after the volleyball tournament. We went to that (yum) and then stayed up at the Cromwell's house to watch the fireworks. I LOVE fireworks and we usually watch them closer to the green belt but this year I didn't want to have to pee or get nauseous or deal with crowds or traffic. So we watched them on a jean blanket with the radio playing and had a great time! I love the Melaleuca fireworks show every year!

The only thing that we took pictures of was Lia after her bath and the baby, Duke, with the little saddle on him! So lame. But here they are-

So grateful to live in this country and so grateful to those who sacrifice so much to keep us free. God bless the USA.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas 2013!

Halloween was so uneventful for us this year! Every year I say that next year we will do something cute and then we never do. But we never have any parties or anything to go to and so I have no motivation to think of a cute costume and put forth any effort! But I do have fun decorating the house. Here's the Halloween decor this year!

I did hardly anything for Thanksgiving. Just our traditional gratitude leaves. We had Thanksgiving in Utah. That's my favorite because my grandma's cooking is SO GOOD. She taught me some of her secrets this year! I really am lucky because my grandma is amazing and teaches me so much!

This year was our first Christmas ALONE. We did Christmas Eve at the Cromwell's house for a few hours and it was lovely. Then we went home and did our own Christmas Eve and went to bed! Christmas day we slept in! It was glorious! We ate breakfast and opened gifts at our own pace. Later in the day George and Vauna and Jed stopped by. It was nice! I loved it!

We saw the Forgotten Carols again this year, loved it like always!!

George and Vauna played Santa and Mrs. Claus at our ward party. They are the cutest Claus couple ever!

I have to show these because I was so proud of them. I learned how to use the band saw for the first time! It was a little scary, and a lot fun!

We went to great grandpa Harding's Christmas party! Love going to that! Good food, good company, good time!

We visited Great grandpa Powell to give her her gift from grandma and grandpa Hathaway. She is so fun to visit I adore her.

Back to our house, jumping around...

And a few pictures from Christmas day

This wasn't Christmas day, but our Christmas package from my family! Not everything but here are a few pictures,

Holidays are so much fun! I hope next year's holidays get a better tribute than this years!

Lia's Easter!

"Hey Lia thanks for being such a good girl."

Here's your Easter basket!

You have your own brush now.

And a soft bristle brush, because Diamond's is so gross.

And here's a mane brush so that your tail and mane stay nice.

This hooks to a hose for when we give you a bath.

This is a sponge for when we give you a bath.

Here's a horse hair detangler that we had to get because your tail got sticky crap in it and we couldn't get it out....

And here's a shampoo for when we give you a bath that will make your hair shiny and clean.

Happy Easter!

Hoppy Easter Part 2

Jake is amazing and he did an Easter surprise for me! I got home from work on Monday (which was a crazy day. It involved the chiropractor, dermatologist, and taxes.) to all this-

He's so sweet and funny.
