Third Anniversary and a Tribute to My Love!

Jake is amazing. I live a fairytale, that's how amazing he is. Since we found out I was pregnant, while I have been struggling with morning sickness, extreme exhaustion, school and work (For four months of the pregnancy), and trying to fulfill all of my responsibilities, Jake has literally bent over backwards for me. He has been giving me my blood thinner shots every night because I can't give it to myself. I know he hates it but he does it so that I won't have to. He sends me to bed early every night, makes me breakfast in bed every morning. He dropped me off at the door of my first class every Tuesday and Thursday and then parked the car and walked to his class. He helped me with my religion homework when it was way over my head. He gives me back, foot, calf massages when I am falling asleep. He makes our lunches while I am either trying to down my breakfast or get ready without puking. He always has a job. He makes sure to always be able to be a provider. He works harder than anyone I know to do well in school. He cleans, he cooks, he does laundry, he sews. He makes me smile even when I feel sick, sad, stressed or angry. He is a worthy Priesthood leader of our home. He loves the Lord and makes Him a priority in our life and marriage. He can't wait to be a dad, and will be the best dad ever. He fulfills his callings to the very best of his ability. He is a good friend to all he meets. He is a good brother and son, to both my family and his. He is forgiving whether people deserve it or not. He is protective. He is FUNNY. And FUN. He is creative. He is sensitive. He is smart. His talents and skills are literally limitless. He is an amazing teacher. He loves celebrating holidays with me and making up traditions is important to him. 90% of the time, his anger only gets as bad as to break out his duck voice, which if you haven't heard, is hilarious. He spoils me rotten. I love this man so much and have no idea what I did to deserve him as my spouse! He is my greatest joy and biggest blessing. Marrying Jake three years ago today in the Bountiful Temple was the best decision I have ever made, and will ever make in my whole life. We have had really hard times and really good times, really fun times and really exhausting times, and through the ups and downs we have grown much closer together and stronger as one. I'm grateful for the hard things we have gone through because they made our marriage even better. I can't wait for what our future holds! The next big thing, our baby boy, is coming right around the corner, and I wouldn't want to parent with anyone else but Jake.

Photo Essay! These are pretty out of order and quite a few didn't load, but it's fun to reminisce!

Wedding day, so cute!

Another engagement picture that I love.

Oh my goodness, sorry these are so out of order and I'm not taking the time to switch them! Wedding day!
These pictures CRACK ME UP! Even Destry and Kayla in the background are hilarious!

Engagement picture!

One of my very favorite pictures of Jake. Mmm :)

I found this tradition on pinterest and copied! This was our first anniversary picture of us holding our wedding picture.

This was right after our one year anniversary, at my aunt Teilani's wedding. I love this picture!

We went to Lava Hot Springs for our one year anniversary and this is us on a picnic in Lava!

We went to the Bill Cosby show at BYUI, it was hilarious!

At Ramona's (Teilani's) wedding again

Summer 2013, shortly after our two year anniversary, boxing at the Hathaway grand's house!

The same summer and vacation, going to Lake Powell with my family!

Fall 2013 we went to Yellowstone with Jake's best friend Matt and his wife Aubrei!

March-ish? 2014, announcing baby boy #1 to the Cromwells!

Less than a month before our third anniversary, in May in Louisiana!
Notice a pattern with Grandpa Hathaway? ;) Same vacation as the above picture!

Annnnd back to our wedding day!

This was our wedding announcement, designed by Erika Degraff Rebstock of DRYInk Photography, HERE

Ah, one of our very first dates, October 2010, we went to Yellowstone :)

October 2010, carving pumpkins in my dorm!

This was taken Thanksgiving weekend 2010 at the Cromwell's Bear Lake mountain cabin, we decorated for Christmas!

This is February 19, 2011, the day Jake proposed to me!

This was taken during winter semester 2011 after Jake proposed, it was our wedding count down. The pink at the end represented the last two weeks before our wedding day!

After I had moved into the apartment we would be living in, this picture was taken by my old roommate Dani in the living room and we are holding our marriage license that we had just received!

We went on a lot of picnics that first summer we were married :)

This is our traditional photo for our second anniversary!

And now here we are in March, I think, taking baby announcement pictures just a couple short months before our three year anniversary! We are so blessed!

Our engagement, wedding, second anniversary, and baby announcement photos were all taken by the fabulous and amazing Jody Hancock whose blog you can see HERE. We haven't taken a three year photo for our tradition yet, but we for sure will! I love that tradition!

Jake had to work today, and most of the time he is working out of Idaho Falls, but today he made sure to work Idaho Falls jobs so he could surprise me for lunch! He came home with flowers and four boxes of my FAVORITE cereal that I thrive on and have not been able to find! It almost made me cry! We had a whole hour and it was such a good surprise. I love this man! Three years down and an eternity to go, I am SO BLESSED.

Bump-Date! 24 Weeks!

Today's Date? June 2

How far along? 24 weeks!

Baby's Size? A little over a foot and a little over a pound!

Days until next doctors appointment? One week!

Total weight gain/loss? +16 lbs!! I gained five pounds in two weeks!

Maternity clothes? I have lots and they rock.

Stretch marks? Not yet!

Sleep? Is so good. It was really nice sleeping in my own again after vaca. We are both so tired and have slept like rocks the last two nights! I know it won't keep up so I'm enjoying it while it lasts!

Best moment this week? Sleeping through the night!

Movement? I still don't feel him as much as I used to. It makes me a little bit nervous, but thanks to the doppler my mom gave me I know he's okay!

Food cravings? Cereal is the main one I think.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Not enough sleep, being hungry, the usual.

Have you started to show yet? Yep! We are rearranging our second bedroom and because of that I can't find where my tape measure is at the moment, so I still don't know how much I've grown around my bellybutton!

Missing anything? My back not hurting so much.

Gender of baby? BOY BOY BOY!

Labor signs? Nope!

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or moody most of the time? I'm super happy but when I am sick I feel panicky and not happy.

Pregnancy symptoms this week? Sore back, sore lower abdomen.

Looking forward to? Having my baby in my arms!

Gender Reveal

We found out the gender of our baby the same week that we flew to Louisiana, so we did a little reveal once we got there. I can't find my pictures, but they were really bad anyways because we did it after dark, outside. But in person you could see the reveal. We did silly string and my goofy grandpa hathaway kind of jumped the gun and it turned out the way it turned out and the color was BLUE!

We are so happy it's a boy! We were shocked because we both thought it was a girl. But I have wanted a boy first for a long time because I always wanted an older brother so I hoped for a boy to be the oldest to watch over the other kids. Jake of course is thrilled. We are so excited and can't wait to meet him!

No name yet!

Bump-Date! 23 Weeks!

Today's Date? May 26

How far along? 23 weeks, which I pretty much wrote all about in my last update because I was writing it late, but oh well.

Baby's Size? About 12 inches head to heal, and more than a pound! The size of a large mango (real fast, isn't a mango smaller than a spaghetti squash? Last week said my baby was the size of a spaghetti squash... weird)! I love that my baby has hit the pound mark! So exciting!

Days until next doctors appointment? It's on June 9, I think. We will be checking the heartbeat and I'll be taking the glucose tolerance test.

Total weight gain/loss? I'm up more than 11 lbs, I'll know by my next bump-date.

Maternity clothes? Yes, and I love them.

Stretch marks? Not yet, but I bet I get them when we get back to dry Idaho... We'll see.

Sleep? I love sleep. But I don't sleep very well. Wake up a lot from back pain and needing to pee.

Best moment this week? Well we are on our baby's first vacation, so that's pretty awesome.

Movement? He's less active lately. I appreciate the peace of mind his movements provide!

Food cravings? Cold things. Dessert things.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Pretty much the same typical things that make any pregnant woman feel gross.

Have you started to show yet? Oh yes I am growing a lot!

Missing anything? Sleeping through the night and my body not hurting all over.

Gender of baby? I'll post about that next.

Labor signs? No.

Belly button in or out? In!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? Either feeling good and happy, or feeling sick and not happy.

Pregnancy symptoms this week? The weird heart thing is still happening but not as bad. I have BAD back pain and feet pain and swollen ankles.

Looking forward to? Holding my baby ;)

Bump-Date- Weeks 21 and 22!

Today's Date? May 19
How far along? 21 or 22 weeks, at my 20 week appointment my doctor bumped up my due date to September 23 and said that we will be inducing sometime before that. So since he did officially change my due date I'm a week further along- I won't complain!

Baby's Size? 11 inches head to heal, and almost a pound! The size of a spaghetti squash! Getting so big!

Days until next doctors appointment? June 9, I think. We will be checking the heartbeat and I'll be taking the glucose tolerance test. I hope it won't be as awful and yucky as everyone says!

Total weight gain/loss? Last time that I checked I was +11 lbs. I haven't checked since we got to Louisiana but I am sure that I am up a few more pounds.

Maternity clothes? Yep. I bought my first pair of maternity jeans at Old Navy, and I will be making more! I wear a lot of gauchos and leggings. Before coming to Louisiana Jake and I put away about 2/3 of my shirts that no longer fit! Also, maxi skirts and dresses are mah thang lately.

Stretch marks? Not yet, but I have had a tummy growth spurt and expect them soon, honestly.

Sleep? Sleeping is so hard for me lately, it bites! I can't get comfortable on either of my sides and sleeping on my back is bad for both me and the baby. Unless I'm exhausted I can't stay asleep and I am constantly trying to get comfortable. But I want to sleep whenever I'm awake.

Best moment this week? Telling my family the gender of our baby.

Movement? The baby moves a bit less here than in Idaho, but I think it's because I've been dehydrated. More on that below. By the way, without fail he/she begins moving when I have a full bladder. And it hurts. Haha

Food cravings? Not really... But my appetite has improved here in Louisiana. I want to eat all the time, it's just a matter of finding something.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Hmm... Nothing really sticks out. Sometimes I get a whiff of something that makes me feel gross (like walking around New Orleans the other day, every smoker made me want to die and all the nasty swampy dirty smells around there were pretty rough!). Being hungry or thirsty makes me sick.

Have you started to show yet? Yep! I haven't measured since being in Louisiana, but I know my bump has had a growth spurt!

Missing anything? I really, really, really miss sleeping through the night. I wake up CONSTANTLY from either a full bladder, sore back, stiff shoulder/neck, baby kicking, etc. I miss not peeing twice an hour all day long, too.

Gender of baby? I'm going to do a post on our 20 week appointment and on us revealing to my family first, then I'll say it on these bump-dates!

Labor signs? No, but have felt my first braxton hicks!

Belly button in or out? In, but getting pretty flat!

Wedding rings on or off? On, but since being in Louisiana my fingers are swollen!

Happy or moody most of the time? Either feeling good and really happy, or feeling sick and super not happy.

Pregnancy symptoms this week? I've had weird heart problems where my heart beats super hard in my chest and it hurts. And when I lay down on my left side my vein in my neck would bulge and feel so much pressure until I felt like I was going to pass out. Also my arms and legs were going numb frequently and when I stood I felt like I had no energy at all and like I might pass out. I even got spotted vision on the edges of my sight. But then I would sit or lay down and things would go numb. It was freaking me out! It started out happening just at night time but got worse and worse until it was almost all day long. It was also giving me pounding headaches that tylenol couldn't even touch. So I called my doctor and because of Factor 5 Leiden and my recent flight he wanted me to get checked. So I went to the Women's Center here in Baton Rouge and six hours later left in trouble with my husband and my mom for getting really dehydrated! She said that the heart thing was suspicious, I've had it going on at nights for a while now. But it only got so bad and extreme because I got so dehydrated. I think it's a combination of LA water tasting so different and warmer than Idaho water along with the extreme heat and humidity and walking around outside day after day that got to me. They did blood tests, urine tests, a neural exam, an EKG, and a few others that I am struggling to remember... They were really thorough! They were also super super nice to me. Minus the IV. That was the worst! They gave it to me in my hand, which I had never had before. And she had to dig around a lot which I had heard of before but never experienced! She was super messy and had my blood all over, it was kind of funny. Then when a different nurse took it out, my blood splattered everywhere. It was impressive. Thank you lovenox shot. Jake and my mom were so patient! Other than that I've done really pretty well. I love zofran, I haven't puked at all on it. My ankles are swollen at the end of every day. I have had some braxton hicks. They are kind of cool, but I know I will hate them soon enough!

Looking forward to? Having a real baby and not a baby bump? ;)
